This Month: "Chinese Sojourners of the Siskiyou Mountains" by Jeff LaLande
Join us for a free presentation by historian and archaeologist, Jeff LaLande, as he speaks about archaeological evidence for Chinese workers found in the Siskiyou Mountains and the exhibit of Chinese artifacts recently donated to Ashland Historic Railroad Museum from the Lawrence Powell collection by Julia Woosnam. The Museum's exhibit, Men of Iron and of Steel: Chinese Railroad Workers in the Siskiyou Mountains", will also be available for viewing. Come learn this fascinating part of Ashland's early history.
