Promote your business in the media using press releases and event listings. Learn how to write articles and get papers to write about you.
Participants will:
Write a press release and event announcements for publication - in class!
-Discover three different article types that papers want to print
- Learn journalism style so articles are printed as submitted
- Learn writing strategies to transform news into magazine articles
- Get a query letter template to submit freelance articles for magazines and newspapers.
Attendees at the last workshop had their press releases published and found themselves the subject of news stories written by professional reporters.
Instructor's Biography:
Robert Gluckson has freelanced articles since he was 12, writes articles and websites, and works as a marketing professional. He taught college journalism and English classes for twelve years.
