This Week:

"Elements of Tensegrity"- A Prayerforming Playshop and Presentation
With Augustus Keala Young

What is the nature of tension? Is it ever a good thing?

We will answer those questions and set the Field to explore the implications and energetic dynamics of Buckminster Fuller's Tensegrity in the context of our human bodies through contact yoga, sacred geometry, and the natural challenges and opportunities of working with others. Through exercises of building trust and coordination we will glimpse and co-create with the intelligence of living systems from a fractal holographic perspective.

We will also open these questions at this pivotal moment in time that we are sharing:

-Where do we want to go from here?

-What's next for the season, for the ReGen Project?

-What is your vision and how might we support each other on the Journey?

Thanks for coming out to play!

About ReGeneration Dialogue Series:

A weekly experiential event for young adults (approx. late teens to late 30's), exploring emerging culture, embodied consciousness and regenerative action. Events utilize elements of Heart Circle to create a safe and empowering space to explore coming of Age in the 21st century, the regenerative possibilities for human culture and the Earth, and how to activate this potential in our local community.

Facilitators' Biography:

Dominic Allamano is a passionate and potent voice of the emerging visionary generation, inspiring others to shine their light brightly by boldly and humbly shining his. Since his late teens, when he began to see clearly following life altering physical trauma, he has focused his energies in two interrelated realms. The first is the realms of experiential education and explorations of the embodiment of consciousness, while the second is in a deep exploration of the sociological and systemic elements of the dominant world culture. The merging of these two realms has allowed him to perceive many of the key patterns and dynamics that define today's world and hold the promise for tomorrow's.

He feels called to be as a midwife to the emerging culture, assisting both in its birth and development as well as in the navigation of the unforeseen consequences of humanity's past choices, which are defining the context for that emergence. Through extensive travels and speaking around the Pacific Northwest he has aligned with an inspired network of allies with whom he is crafting new paradigm networks and tools like the WorldCrafter's Network (http://www.worldcrafters.org) and CultureSeed (http://www.cultureseed.org) to support the emergence of this new culture.

Note: Intended for young adults only.

First Friday Artwalk:
"Floral Remedies"
Photography by Lisa Byrne

Opens First Friday, June 5, 5:00-8:00 pm
Exhibit runs June 6-29, 10-6 Daily

'Remedy' -noun. "Something that cures or relieves a disease; a healing medicine, application, or treatment."

Floral Remedies is the most recent photographic collection from Lisa Byrne. Each image features bold textures and dynamic patterns. These designs were created one spring after Tulips, Lilies, Sunflowers, and Peonies unexpectedly jumped in front of Lisa's camera lens. For a portrait photographer, flower petals seemed an unlikely subject to pursue, but her enchantment with them grew.

"One afternoon I left a coffee shop abruptly to check on a peony, and realized something exquisite had happened. The photo of the flower was no longer the end result; it actually became the jumping off point."

Lisa continues to photograph botanicals of all kinds, and uses a combination of traditional and digital technology to develop each print. In addition to color photographs, she is developing a catalog of floral imagery, a coffee table book, and note cards. The frames she uses are hand crafted from recycled oak, mahogany and pine. Lisa believes miracles exist everywhere, beauty is a choice, and creativity should be pursued passionately.

Introduction to 'Ôkupu: Meditation & The Path of Aloha
With Pili (Lyn 'Unihipili Hilliard)

Suggested donation $10.00, everyone welcome.

Presentation Description:

Aloha! We invite you to join us for an experiential evening of journeying and discussion introducing the path of meditation and spiritual self-knowledge known as 'Ôkupu. 'Ôkupu is deeply rooted in the traditional wisdom and aloha of nâ kûpuna-the elders and ancestors of Hawai'i.

'Ôkupu means to sprout, or to come forth in the manner of clouds, which may appear as if from nowhere, without source or cause.

In 'Ôkupu meditation, we discover that, like the young plants, like the clouds, the life-force is constantly unfolding within us. This is aloha-primordial, unconditional love expressing itself as the universal creative force, the vibrant wellspring of existence. As we direct our attention inward, we are immersed in Spirit and connected to our infinite source.

'Ôkupu meditation is inspirational, centering, grounding, and joyful. It clears our vision, focuses our intention, awakens our compassion, enlivens our creativity, and empowers our highest aspirations and best wishes for all beings (including ourselves). 'Ôkupu brings together body, mind, and spirit, Earth, human, and Ke Akua (universal consciousness, the Creator) to send waves of healing through ourselves and outward to others, to the Earth, to the Universe. 'Ôkupu honors the Earth, the ancestors, and the wisdom and creativity of the individual.

In the practice of 'Ôkupu we may also call on traditional healing arts such as Huaka'i Akakû (spirit journeying) and 'Ôlelo A'o Loko (talks and discussions) to help prepare for and support the experience of meditation. They bring us insight, inspiration, deep relaxation, and the revival of our ancient, ancestral, Earth-connected consciousness. They clarify our authentic insights and bring them out into our lives.

Join us for a joyous and transformational journey into our radiant spiritual essence, the vibrant wellspring of life-force that empowers our existence.

Presenter's Biography:

Pili (Lyn 'Unihipiliowailelepualu Moreno Hilliard) is a traditional healer, musician, and teacher. He is of Filipino, Spanish, and Celtic ancestry, and Hawaiian by adoption. Pili is the hânai (adopted) son of Aunty Bea Nakapuahi Christian-Perin, originally of Niumalu, Kaua'i. Aunty Bea is the niece of Aunty Emma Kâne, a prominent Kahuna Lapa'au (master healer) of the early twentieth century. From Aunty Bea, Pili has learned much about Aunty Emma's work. Both of these elders are a continuing source of inspiration and understanding for him. Aunty Emma gave him his Hawaiian name, through Aunty Bea, as an inoa pô (name given in a dream).

While still in his teens, Pili became immersed in the quest to understand the nature of reality, and to discover the source of life, love, and awareness. This journey took him abroad for a year and a half of roaming in Europe and Asia. In 1971 he completed a three-month residential yoga teacher training course under the guidance of Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri. His travels also took him to the Greek Islands, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and to his spiritual home, Hawai'i.

In 1991 Pili was invited to become an instructor at Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Corte Madera, California. Since then, thousands of healing arts professionals from around the world have participated in his popular classes, which explore the connections between indigenous healing traditions and cutting-edge hypnotherapy.

At the beginning of 2009'Elele O Nâ Kûpuna (messenger of the ancestors) Aunty Mâhealani Kuamo'o-Henry graciously conveyed to Pili a message from her ancestral spirit guides that inspired him to bring his spiritual work to a larger public. The message was this: that it is Pili's responsibility to pioneer the reintroduction of 'Ôkupu, a traditional path of meditation and spiritual self-knowledge that had been lost to the world for generations.
