 How much damage has Abu Ghraib had on America's credibility as a defender of freedom and human rights around the world?  The U.S.viewed as one of the principal advocates of human rights- now is viewed as the principal expositor of torture.  There is a strong suggestion that the physical and psychological torture employed was an inevitable outgrowth of military and government policies.  To date, only one high ranking officer has been penalized; while at the same time other related high ranking officials have been promoted and not subject to independent inquiry.=0D=0A=

 The film raises serious questions about what happened, why, how ordinary American soldiers could engage in such monstrous acts- totally ignoring the Geneva Conventions.  It traces the political and legal precedents and interviews both Iraqi victims and their U.S. guards.  Questions arise about kidnappings, renditions, the Gulag at Guantamino.=0D=0A=
